Activity: Wrist flexion
Summary:
A simple strength exercise for the flexors of the wrist
Description:
- sitting with the forearm supported by the thigh (palm face-up), hand gently closed into a fist
- slowly flex (lift) the hand bending only from the wrist
- then slowly extend (drop) the wrist
- repeat as instructed
- the exercise can be progressed by adding either elastic resistance or a small weight
- NOTE: doing this exercise with the elbow straight, but still supported underneath, will tension the longer wrist flexors more
