Activity: Foot intrinsics: basic strengthening
Summary:
A simple way to begin strengthening the intrinsic muscles of the foot, namely the toe flexors and short arch stabilizers
Description:
- start by placing a small hand towel on the floor, ideally one with low friction initially (ie: wood, tile, etc...)
- gently place the foot on the towel, with the toes just covering one edge
- begin gathering up the towel by flexing the toes repetitively
- repeat as directed
