Activity: Spinal stability: 4-point neutral spine stabilization



A basic spinal stabilization exercise from 4-point kneeling (hands and knees).


  • start in a 4-point kneeling position (hands and knees)
  • find and maintain a neutral spine position (gente, natural spinal curve)
  • pull up pelvic floor
  • pull front hip bones together (TA: transversus abdominus). This will pull up or flatten the abdomen
  • pull back hip bones together (multifidus)
