Activity: Ankle inversion



A basic exercise to strengthen inversion, or inwards turning, of the ankle/foot.


  • Start in a sitting position, either on the floor or on a chair
  • wrap an elastic resistance band around your forefoot with the other end of the loop affixed to something secure on the side of the outer foot
  • move your foot against the resistance by inverting, or turning inwards
  • repeat as instructed
