Activity: Throwing: elastic resistance



A resitance exercise for the basic overhead throwing exercise.


  • start in a split-stance with the throwing hand holding on to some form of elastic resistance.
  • in a slow and controlled manner, move through a regular overhead throwing motion, right through to the follow-through
  • repeat as instructed
NOTE: this exercise can easily be modified to different throwing techniques and include the windup portion of movement as well.
