Activity: Squat on a less stable surface



A stability exercise for the hip, knee, foot and ankle. This exercise requires masteray of the basic squat exercise first.


Prior to attempting this exercise, a basic standing squat should be fully mastered.

  • start by standing on the BOSU or cushion with feet approx. shoulder width apart
  • squat by bending the hips and knees, while maintaining a neutral spine (normal lordosis)
  • return to the start position
  • repeat as instructed
