Activity: Posterior sling: supine



A closed kinetic chain exercise for back stability and strength, focused on the posterior sling (opposite gluteus maximus and latissmus dorsi)


  • laying on back, knees bent
  • keeping spine neutral and hinging up from the hips, move into a bridge
  • lift opposite arm and leg away from the ground, mainting bridge and spinal position
  • push down through the grounded heel and elbow
  • hold up to 6 seconds, then alternate
