Activity: Thoracolumbar dissociation: sitting



Basic exercise introducing thoraco-lumbar dissociation, which is important for spinal stability during many sports and activities


  • sitting with arms crossed (hands on opposite shoulders)
  • maintain a neutral spine
  • rotate gently left and right, moving primarily from the thoraco-lumbar junction
