Activity: Plantar fascia stretch: deep layer



An effective stretch for the plantar fascia. This variation focuses on the deep layer of the fascia.


  • place heel on the floor, close enough to the wall to allow the toes to be placed against the wall
  • lean forward until you feel a stretch in the back of the calf and primarily the bottom of the foot
