Activity: Bridge for back-bracers



A variation of the bridge exercise specifically for "back bracers", encouraging good segmental movement.


  • laying on back, knees bent, feet flat on floor
  • engage spinal stabilizers, release sit bones/deep hip muscles
  • lift back off floor segment by segment
  • lower segment by segment
  • use band around thighs to increase gluteus medius activity (if instructed to do so)
