Activity: One leg hinge / dead lift

Summary:

This is a more functional version of the dead lift exercise, focused on the spinal and pelvic stabilizers

Description:

  • activate spinal stabilizers
  • standing on one leg, tilt forward from the hip
  • keep the the upper body lined up with the lifted leg during hip flexion (stance leg)
  • keep the pelvis from rotating or dropping from level, during hip flexion
  • maintain neutral spinal posture throughout
