Activity: Scalenes stretch

Summary:

A specific stretch for a small group of triangular musles at the base of the neck

Description:

  • standing or sitting comfortably, place a few fingers of the opposite hand on the scalenes muscles (beside the base of the neck, but not on the trapezius)
  • gently side bend away from the stretch side
  • an upwards pressure and a stretch should be felt just under the fingers
